WHAT TO EXPECT

Sunday Mornings

10:30 AM

PEOPLE

Our Lord’s Day gatherings are primarily intended to edify and encourage our local congregation as we worship the Lord. We are always excited to welcome new visitors, believing that the Lord builds His church with people from all ethnic, social, and economic backgrounds, and any religious, non-religious, or denominational traditions. Come early and stay late to meet our friendly people.

PREACHING

We believe in expositional (also known as "expository") preaching. Our elders preach through books of the Bible verse-by-verse. We believe in the primacy of preaching because, through Bible reading, exposition, and application, God saves sinners and sanctifies His people.

MUSIC

The music we sing is a blend of old and new. We love to sing the Psalms, doctrinally rich hymns of the past, and the substantive songs of the present (Col 3:16-17). We strive for a consistent theology in worship rather than a particular style and strongly encourage congregational singing, which emphasizes whole church participation. The deeper our theology, the greater our doxology. We love to sing loudly and joyfully to the Lord. While you may hear various instruments, the aim is to undergird and strengthen congregational singing.

WORSHIP

Worship is not merely music; worship is everything we do in service on the Lord's Day. We are committed to offering to The Lord the worship He has instructed us. His instruction consists of Prayer, Public Reading of Scripture, Preaching, Singing, and Observing the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper.

THE LORD'S SUPPER

We celebrate the Lord's Supper every Sunday. Christ instituted this covenant sign so that his people would remember his finished work, renew their commitment to one another, and proclaim his death until he returns. (1 Cor 11:17-34) Because we take the command to worship the Lord rightly, we ask that only believers in good standing with their local church are welcome to participate. The elements are served by men of the church, row-by-row, and are taken together as instructed by the preacher. The top cup contains the fruit of the vine, and the bottom cup contains the bread. If you have mobility limitations or allergies, please let us know, and we'll be happy to assist you.

GIVING & OFFERINGS

We don't pass a plate; instead, we have drop-boxes at the sanctuary exits for those who want to honor the Lord with the joyful giving of their offerings. If you would prefer to give digitally, we use the Church Center mobile and desktop app to allow you to give from your mobile device or PC.

CHILDREN IN WORSHIP

We understand that children can be wiggly, and we are delighted to have your little ones join us in worship. If you need to step out of the sanctuary with your child, we have a live video feed available in the lobby. We recognize that some young ones may need a break. Children who are able to stay in the worship service are encouraged to do so. While they may not understand all the words, they do pick up on body language. Let them see that God deserves our songs, prayers, and attentive listening through your participation and that of those around you.

Additionally, a dedicated nursing mothers' room is located to the right of the sanctuary for mothers who prefer to nurse privately. This room is equipped with a live video feed of the service and features a two-way mirror with curtains to ensure privacy while allowing a view of the stage.

POST-SERVICE

A typical service lasts approximately 90 minutes. An hour after that, however, you might still find folks talking over the sermon and events of the past week. It's common for our folks to connect for quite some time in fellowship after service. So, stick around after the service and meet some people.
